This week felt like it would never end or get better. Each day I woke up exhausted and unmotivated and today was just the icing on the cake. I was almost late to class, forgot close-toed shoes for lab, and forgot to eat breakfast and lunch. I felt like a complete mess, but I prevailed. I got up, I showed up, and I survived. And despite the terrible start to my day I decided to make the most of what was left. I went thrifting, ate dinner with friends, and cuddled a pupper. And thanks to those simple little actions I ended a rough week on a happy note.

How this week felt…

Incase you missed last weekends chance to march for change.

Indoor gardening for soil haters.

You and 6/10

Pretty jeans that would be fun to recreate. (Cause there is no way I’m paying $129)

Perfect summer adventure bag/basket.

Beautiful white kitchen redo.

Some pretty earrings and a dress to go with.

DIY napkins

I hope you have a good weekend and don’t forget to engage in self-care if you’ve been having a rough week!

So this weekend, despite the impending doom of midterms, looks like it is going to be a good one. Saturday is Earth day, and here in Bellingham that means that there will be a myriad of events to attend. So many events to choose from, yet I can only be at one place at a time, bummer! After surveying my options I opted to March for Science instead of sitting inside listening to talks. When in doubt opt for action. Climate change is real my friends and I encourage you to get out there and March for Science this weekend! What are you doing to celebrate Earth day this weekend?

A pretty dress to make for summer

Everyone in Bellingham is wearing stacked rings and its so beautiful that I need to hop on this trend.

This embroidered patch is pretty rad… hehe

A podcast series that I devoured in two days this week.

A little reminder.

Empowering documentary that I watched in class this week. (P.s. it’s on Netflix)

I hope you have a terrific weekend!

Obligatory post transfer orientation vegan donut run.

This long weekend started out with a dose of sleep deprivation and a day full of new things in Bellingham. After a long drive home after night lab I caught a few hours of sleep before getting up early to head to Bellingham for my new student transfer orientation. But of course when in Bellingham, you must do fun things and eat good food. So we ate at Soy House again, because that place is amazing, and also picked up some vegans donuts. After all that fun I was pretty exhausted, so the rest of the weekend will probably be fairly relaxed. I think working on projects, snuggling my pup, shopping at my favorite health food store, and eating lots of good food is what’s on the agenda. Here are a few links from around the internet for you weekend…

A beautiful little camper.

Something delicious I want to make this weekend.

Some cool collage ideas, especially for a college dorm or apartment.

A desk and chair combo, I am in love with right now.

Also absolutely obsessed with these live edge mirrors right now.

Always loved paper crane art, seriously want to do something similar in my apartment.

Super cute necklace.

I know Valentine’s day is already over, but this is too cute not to share.

Cute weekend sewing project.

How I feel whenever I am surrounded by non college student food.

I hope you have a terrific weekend!

Driving over Snoqualmie  pass last weekend.

This week has been a busy one for me and when I was finally done today, I didn’t know what to do with myself! I had nowhere I had to be, nowhere I had to drive to, just me and a whole lot of time. I started out this lovely weekend with lunch with a good friend, then proceeded to finish a knitting project.  I am hoping to take some time for me tomorrow and so far that looks like going to yoga and maybe a hike. Anyway, I hope you all had a good week and don’t forget that despite the mess you can find yourself in some weeks, to remember that it will all be okay in the end. Here are a few links from around the internet for your weekend…

Tiny houses, my new obsession.

8 face masks to try out this weekend, I tried the banana turmeric one tonight.

Beautiful beetroot seeds that I want to buy to plant in the spring.

A beautiful blog.

Um, this looks amazing…if only I had a kitchen this weekend.

A cool student travel blog.

A song I’ve been listening to on repeat this week.

How to be an active ally to immigrants and refugees.

Something to remember amidst the chaos of the past couple weeks.
